Prosumers lure at Tablet PC

If you have a tablet PC’s  you can be connected to your world and carry your businees at any time you require. It’s special feature make it best choice for people who have jobs requireing them to be on the move, whether attending meetings in the office or conducting business on the road . You will also find Tablet PC very useful if you like to have the full power of a notebook at a greater Mobility.
In the present context, Prosumers diverts at Tablets PC for the mobility of a handheld computer with the computing power of a notebook, Bhupal Chettri, Sales Manager of Pashupati Trade Link (PTL) said.  PTL marketed   ZTE V9 Tablet Pc in domestic market.  This company brings this tablet PC  in 2010 and had already sells 300 pcs in the nepali market and estimated to sell more 500 pcs more within this year . The PTL has charged Rs 26,000 for ZTE V9 model. With the more awareness about the tablet PC raises more sales  in coming year, Chettri cited.  ZTE is the 4th largest handset manufacture in the World, so there is no compromise on quality and service, he insist about ZTE Tablet.
Explore Asia Pacific has lauched Xplore tablet for the first time in CAN INFOTECH-2012. It is the first tablet available in the market with the Company Brand Name of Nepal, Shesh Raj Pathak, Business Development Manager told about the products. Its cost Nrs 24000 and got most prosumers interested in this tab as it has multi-touch facilities with 3G Sim service. Explore Asia also unveil Simmtronics T700 and T701 Tablet PC  cost Rs 12,000 and 16,000 respectively.. The Explore Asia is able to sell 400 pcs Tablet PCs in 2 days at CAN INFOTECH-2012 and more 3500 pcs booking which will be distributed in 1stweeks of February. The company also target to sell 5000 pcs in this year, Pathak told his vision. The company also planning to upgrade and modified  in T700 and T701 tablet pc within 6 months. He adds we are always thinking to give quality and best product to our esteemed customer, he said. Explore Asia Pacific’s tab has Android operating system. The company also planning to expands tablet market in nepal’s major cities like Hetauda, Pokhara and so on.
Gizmos Nepal Pvt. Ltd’s UBISLATE 7+  attracts almost student. UBISLATE is an updated version of AAKASH, made by DATAWIND, UK. This tablet pc is also unveiled at CAN INFOTECH for the first time. According to the Bishal Khetan, director of Gizmos Nepal Pvt. Ltd, 90 percents of student booked this tablet PCs due to low cost which is available in the market at Rs 6000. More than 30, ooo people booked this tablet PCs and distributed after 2 months,  Khetan said .This tablet pc adjust cell phone with sim with voice services. According to Khetan, it can be used as e-book reader, for access to online streaming course material and web based research. It also offers high quality web, cell phone, social networking, instant messaging, multimedia, games and hundreds of applications.
Tablet PC can run almost all PC applications compatiable with Windows XP, plus the applications which specifically target Tablet PC. On connectivity side, besides the built-in wireless support, Tablet PCs can also be placed into a docking station at a desk to support a large monitor, network connection, keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals. A tablet PC is a wireless, portable personal computer with  a touch screen interface. The tablet form factor is typically smaller than a notebook computer but larger than a smart phone.

Using a digital pen and the Input Panel utility, you can write directly on the screen and save your notes in your own handwriting or convert them to typed text for input into other applications. Speech recognition is an integral component of every Tablet PC, allowing users to dictate content or control applications with their voice

User can interact with Tablet PC  by tapping the screen and hand-writing with a penlike device. It also lets users wirelessly connect to the intenet and other PCs.   AS Tablet PC is a lightweight version of a PC in the shape of a flat paner.
The idea of tablet computing is generally credited to Alan Kay of Xerox, who sketched out the idea in 1971. The first widely-sold tablet computer was Apple Computer's Newton, which was not a commercial success. Technological advances in battery life, display resolution, handwriting recognition software, larger memory and wireless Internet access have since made tablets a viable computing option.

Advantages

  • Usage in environments not conducive to a keyboard and mouse such as lying in bed, standing, or handling with a single hand.
  • Lighter weight, lower power models can function similarly to dedicated E-book readers  like the Amazon Kindle.
  • Touch environment makes navigation easier than conventional use of keyboard and mouse or touch pad in certain contexts such as image manipulation, musical, or mouse oriented games.
  • Digital painting and image editing are more precise and intuitive than painting or sketching with a mouse.
  • The ability for easier or faster entry of diagrams, mathematical notations, and symbols.
  • Allows, with the proper software, universal input, independent from different keyboard localizations.
  • Some users find it more direct and pleasant to use a stylus, pen or finger to point and tap on objects, rather than use a mouse or touchpad, which are not directly connected to the pointer on screen.
  • Current tablets typically have longer battery life than laptops or netbooks.
